The US Embassy is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians for the position of Project Management Specialist-Democracy and Governance at United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Tanzania. This is a full-time Personal Services Contract position.
Basic Function of Position
This position is located in the USAID/Tanzania Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) team under the Strategic Planning and Program Support Office (SPPS). The DRG team is expected to eventually become a separate office in the USAID/Tanzania Mission. The USAID Project Management Specialist (DRG) is responsible for performing a full range of development assistance functions in the design, development, management, and monitoring and evaluation of USAID DRG activities. The incumbent's focus will be in civic participation and supporting the implementation of the Citizens Engaging in Governance Oversight project. Activities include managing contracts, cooperative agreements, and grants with international non-government organizations (NGOs). The Specialist is a full member of the DRG team, and, as a COR/AOR, will be .delegated authority for assigned program/project/activity management and administrative functions.
