PURPOSE STATEMENT
DAWASCO, a water utility and sewerage company based in Dar es Salaam is looking for dynamic, dedicated people with good leadership and
interpersonal skills to fill existing vacancies immediately. He/she must be a good team player, creative, innovative and result oriented to fill each of these positions.

Chief Finance Officer (One Post)
Core Function
The Chief Financial Officer shall be overall in charge of finance and accounting of the corporation.
Reporting
The CFO shall report to the Chief Executive Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Specifically he/she shall be responsible for:
Setting desired objectives, developing procedures, and initiating changes in existing methods. Planning of fiscal and management control functions. Planning and implementing of overall procedures for real estate acquisition and management, fiscal reporting and administration. Purchasing and warehousing of corporations assets. Managing risks, cash, investments, business licensing, and tax administration. Coordinating debt management. Accounting for corporations assets. Ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates shall be holders of a professional qualification in accounting such as CPA (T). Holders of a post-graduate degree in Finance will have added advantage. In addition and, candidates must have work experience of more than five years in financial management.
Competencies
The holder of the position should be able to apply knowledge, skills and understanding in a wide and unpredictable variety of contexts with substantial personal responsibility, responsibility for the work of others and responsibility for the allocation of resources, policy, planning, execution and evaluation and give advice the CEO and Board of Directors
Finance Manager (One Post)
Core Function
The Finance Manager shall be responsible in assisting Chief Finance Officer in accounting for both the revenue and expenditure of the Corporation
Reporting
The Finance Manager shall be reporting to Chief Finance Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Produce the weekly financial statements and monthly management accounts. Produce the management accounts for Board meetings. Monitor actual performance vs budget. Make monthly projections of Revenue Expenditure Budget. Authorize suppliers' invoices for payment. Authorizes payments to creditors. Keep various books of accounts as per IFRS. Ensure compliance of the PPRA2004. Supervise subordinates to conform with laid down financial policies and regulations Bachelor of Finance and Accounting/Accountancy
Qualification and Experience

Human Resources Manager (One Post)
CORE FUNCTIONS
Assist the Head of Human Resources department and provide support to all managers on issues related to employees and shall be responsible for employee matters.
Reporting
The Human Resources Manager shall report to the Head of Human Resources and Administration
Main Duties and responsibilities:
Maintaining employees' database. Supervising the payroll system. Keeping track on the transfer of employees change of jobs and .stations and assign new duties to various employees. Attending to staff matters such as leave, allowances, etc. Overseeing and advising worker's representative (Trade Union). Organizing staff meetings. Developing, reviewing, implementing, and updating applicant tracking, employment practices, compensation, benefits, and human resources programs and methods on a regular basis. Overseeing employment contracts. Conducting and participating in annual "like organization" surveys to ensure competitive compensation and benefit plans. Developing, communicating, and implementing state-of-the-art performance evaluation tools, methods and formats.
Skills and Specifications
Ability to influence and persuade senior management level. Pragmatic problem-solving skills. Articulate communicator, ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data to a wide range of audiences. High standard level of attention. Solid commitment to customer or employee service. Ability to convey sensitive and challenging information to managers and employees. Expert in Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to manage time and work prioritization.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates shall have degree in Human Resources Management or Public Administration. A post graduate degree in Human Resources Management shall be an added advantage. In addition, the candidate shall have five years experience in Human Resources Management functions. She/he should be able to demonstrate sound managerial and leadership skills, good Public Relations and be computer literate.

Distribution Manager (One post)
CORE FUNCTIONS
The Distribution Manager shall be responsible for heading the supervision of network operation, maintenance of the distribution network
and its associated facilities, supervising new connections and planning for network improvement.
Reporting:
Distribution Manager shall be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Operation and maintenance of all transmission and distribution mains and maintenance of all water reservoirs. Determination of water
flow pressure in both water transmission and distribution system. Planning and implementing preventive maintenance for water transmission and distribution mains. Planning and implementing effective water distribution schedules including water rationing. Determination of daily water supplied and water demand for the city. Preparing budget and business plan for distribution section. Detecting leakage and repair of all pipes. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Manage manpower, working tools, equipment and coordinate assets use. Build Team work amongst Team members. Liaise with business units on matters pertaining to water supply operations. Maintenance of good practice of data collection, compilation, recording and storage. Any other work related duties as given by the Chief Operation Officer
Skills and Specification
Knowledge of water distribution network operations and planning.
Solid commitment to serve the public and solve problems as they arise.
Ability to work long hours when necessary.
Knowledge of water distribution network and management. Have a 'hands on' approach to work.
Team player
Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate must be University graduate in civil engineering. The candidate should be able to demonstrate sound managerial and leadership skills, good public relations and be computer literate. A post graduate degree in water resources will be an added advantage. In addition the candidate should have at least five (5) years experience in water supply operations. Experience in water supply industry will be
an added advantage.
