Have strong AIX installation and maintenance skills
Configuring and managing system security
Using Network Installation Management (NIM), Workload Partitions (WPAR) Manager and Systems Director (base product)
Understanding Power Virtual Memory (VM) components such as Automated Manifest system (AMS), Shared Processor Pools, etc.
Oversee the implementation and support operational security activities, processes and policy as required. Proactively drive compliance activities on the account.
Work with the security team on the account to produce the monthly security report.
The qualified candidate is expected to have skills in the following areas:
Configure and manage networking in AIX
Manage and configure Virtual IO client partitions
Manage devices
Manage storage
Use Hardware Management Console (HMC) and Systems Director Management Console (SDMC) to manage system resources
Perform user administration tasks (such as limiting resources, creating/using groups, etc).
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in strong knowledge of system backup and recovery
- At least 2 years experience in strong AIX installation and maintenance skills
- At least 2 years experience in Configuring and managing system security
- At least 2 years experience in Using NIM, WPAR Manager and Systems Director (base product)
- At least 2 years experience in Understanding Power VM components such as AME, AMS, Shared Processor Pools, etc.
- English: Fluent
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Information Technology
- At least 3 years experience in strong knowledge of system backup and recovery
- At least 3 years experience in strong AIX installation and maintenance skills
- At least 3 years experience in Configuring and managing system security
- At least 3 years experience in Using NIM, WPAR Manager and Systems Director (base product)
- At least 3 years experience in Understanding Power VM components such as AME, AMS, Shared Processor Pools, etc.
