POSITION: Community and Gender Officer (One Position)
LOCATION: Mbeya Municipality

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences i.e. Gender and Enterprise Development, Anthropology, Rural Development, Sociology, Economics, Agricultural Sciences or related discipline. He/she should have at least five (05) years of experience working on gender issues preferably in agriculture, rural development and/or livestock production and marketing.
Extensive knowledge in gender, agriculture and rural development, including demonstrated expertise in conducting gender analysis, gender assessments, and/or gender-focused research of agricultural issues especially related to dairy.
Will be responsible for the coordination of Gender mainstreaming in all EADD's projects with the goal of exploring the potential programme area of Gender, looking specifically at protection of gender-based violence at the same time, enhance women's empowerment through performance monitoring, evaluation, reporting and documentation of best practice and lessons learnt. 'i The Coordinator will work together with Country Teams the plan, budget, implement and monitor Youth and Women targeted dairy :1 enterprise programs. The Community and Gender Officer will ensure that women and youth fully participate in and benefit from the project equitably.

Selection criteria
- Minimum requisite academic and professional qualifications
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with people at different levels, including colleagues, partners and donors.
- Excellent facilitation skills and experience in developing training modules and packages
- Experience in using community based approaches.
- Availability to work extended hours and travel extensively in country and when necessary internationally.
- Demonstrate excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
