The Human Resources and Development Department of the ISS is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and self-driven individual to administrate and coordinate all aspects of organisational development and governance and some related aspects of human resources.
The position requires an exceptional ability to multi-task and to administer a variety of process-driven functions simultaneously as well as a solid understanding of good governance and the application of rules, polices, practices and processes by which an organisation is directed and controlled.
Main responsibilities:
- All administration and logistics including taking minutes and writing reports of management meetings relevant to organisational governance;
- Implementation and coordination of a centrally managed internship programme;
- Coordination of organisational induction programmes;
- Assist all staff in developing annual work plans and maintain a central data base of individual work plans;
- Coordinate regular performance monitoring across the ISS in accordance with employee work plans and facilitate annual year end performance appraisals;
- Maintain an updated organisational structure and ensure that all role profiles remain current according to the structure and that all positions are graded correctly through an objective job evaluation process;
- Coordinate and manage all OD processes such as change management, annual staff survey, capacity reviews, organisational needs reviews, team building;
- Implement and coordinate internal development strategies such as succession planning, professional development, skills development, career growth and mentorship programmes.
Requirements:
- A 3 year degree in Human Resource Management or Organisational Development;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the field of HR or Organisational Development;
- Ability to apply and implement strategic Human Resource and Organisational Development processes;
- Ability to develop and interpret policies relating to Human Resources and Organisational Development and to implement processes accordingly;
- Solid understanding of management structures and the application of good organisational governance;
- Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels;
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
The position will be based at the ISS office in Pretoria and includes some regional travel.
Salary: Salary range is commensurate with ISS internal salary structure and is available upon request.
