About Your Job:
This is a “Finance – In –Charge” role that manages, handles , supervises Finance at the station in line with QR policies and internal accounting procedures. You will verify all invoices including ICH invoices as per Finance policies and IAP’s. In this role you will be responsible to efficiently ensure processing of supplier invoices, expense claims, sales reports, banking of sales proceeds in line with QR policies and procedures. Your key accountabilities will include ensuring all vouchers and claims are countersigned to ensure that cross-verification was done in line with applicable policy and procedure. You wil be involved in the management of station payroll and budgetary planning. You will process payroll and prepare and co-ordinate on related returns, ensure assets are coded and periodically reconciled with copy of record to HQ. You will verify/prepare all invoices as per finance policies as well as preparing payment analyses. Handling petty cash, duty travel and entertainment expenses will also be important as well as assisting the station in procurement of goods and services to ensure good value for money. You will ensure that all documents are timely and neatly filed for easy reference and retrieval as well as the reconciliation of stocks.
About You:
To be successful in this role you should have a Bachelors degree/ Commerce graduate from a reputed university. You should be a specialist with minimum of 5 Years of Job-related experience and an accounting experience of 5 years in airline with at least 2 Years in similar capacity. Certifications in CA / CPA / ACCA / CIMA / ICWA would be preferred.
You should have excellent English communication skills are essential together with a strong aviation specific profile in either expenditure or revenue accounting . You should be able to analyse and explain Financial Accounts/ Managements Accounts to finance and Non Finance audience. You should have knowledge on contracts, local laws and regulations like VAT, tax, payroll etc. You should also have a user level experience with ERP and MS Office (Word, Excel).
