As a member of the GG&O HR SSA leadership team, the HR Operations Manager will provide leadership to the SSA HR Operations teams and partner closely with the other Regional & Global HR Shared Service teams to standardize and digitize the HR transaction processes and utilize OHR-enabled HR tools to drive HR compliance, productivity and efficiency. | |
1. Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of HR operations across the Africa region by leveraging lean six sigma and OHR enabled e-tools. 2. Work with the other regional and global HR Shared Service team to represent region needs, share/learn the best practices and participate in the development of global HR e-tools and processes 3. Work with the regional HR Ops team to standardize and digitize the common HR processes from pre-on boarding through exit to drive HR compliance, productivity and efficiency 4. Continuously assess the needs and expectations of various stakeholders, benchmark to identify best practices, establish a roadmap for world-class HR operations and drive its execution 5. Ensure collaboration with Finance, HR and GE Business teams to ensure delivery of streamlined processes, standardization and digitization. 6. Work in close partnership with multiple HR, Finance and GE Business leaders to ensure robust, accurate and timely delivery services to GE employees. 7. Ensure simplification efforts are fully aligned with Global Operations initiatives & enterprise standards and Sub Saharan Africa Region is in a “ready state” to roll out new processes and platforms in a timely manner 8. Drive operational performance through strong people leadership, customer relationship management, operational rigor and leveraging metrics to drive operational improvements 9. Ensure HR operations processes are in compliance with relevant region, country and local regulatory laws. 10. Drive and enhance employee engagement, development, and communication, and ensure a strong, consistent performance management culture. Create an environment of continuous learning and support for employee and organizational growth. 11. Develop and coach the region HR Ops teams and facilitate best practices sharing across regions 12. Instill a culture of customer service excellence and continuous process improvement. 13. Ensure day-to-day execution of service level commitments, including rigorous quality and audit reviews. | |
• Minimum eight-to ten years of total experience marked by steady career progression and a track record of having successfully led teams. • Work experience should include HR Generalist or Specialist roles (exposure to employee relations, compensation, recruiting and performance management) and HR Operations (in-depth knowledge and experience in HRIS, OHR, HR analytics and reporting, payroll & benefits management, statutory compliance and audit). • Superior project management skills with experiences in leading global projects; excellent organization, follow-up skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. • Significant leadership experience in a complex, service oriented, operational environment • Ability to be credible and influence/drive right behaviors & strong collaboration across multiple businesses & countries. • Outstanding communication, coaching/mentoring/leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. • Proven analytical and problem solving skills; process orientation and metrics-driven. • E-savvy and strong HR knowledge of systems and process. | |
