Role Purpose JOB PURPOSE Managing the accounting side of corporate finance transactions for the group, including: accounting for derivatives, maintaining accounting policies on financing and hedging. Assisting with monthly closings, analysis and supporting both corporate finance and corporate accounting on covenants, debt tracking and accounting entries for debt, cash pooling and derivatives. Key Responsibilities • Define and regularly revise accounting policies on financing and hedging • Define and monthly/quarterly update accounting entries on financing and hedging • Propose/discuss accounting treatments on financing with line managers and auditors • Interaction with accounting on all debt-related matters including swap accounting and EMIR derivatives reporting • External loan amortized cost calculations • Covenant and guarantees tracking: 1) Bank debt/ bond (including non-financial covenants - central database of non-financial restrictions); 2) corporate guarantee management / billing • Coordination of payment flows on interest payment debt (especially Africa) • Payment processing & cash management (including management of cash pooling) • Supervision of intercompany debt: maintaining documentation for intercompany debt, and monitoring and tracking the evolution of intercompany debt • Updating of centralized database of operations debt • Participate to definition and implementation of Treasury module Position Requirements QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE • Accounting qualification (master degree in finance, ACCA) • 4-5 years of previous experience in audit of financial entities or similar position • Fluent English and Spanish language skills. French considered as an advantage ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices • Knowledge of finance principles • Knowledge of financial reporting • Technical accounting skills • Proficiency in relevant accounting software CORE COMPETENCIES • Analytical thinking / problem solving • Mindset and proven record of work with many different stakeholders in multicultural environment • Experience in corporate finance / treasury or accounting in banking environment • Hands on / can do attitude • Structured finance/ project finance experience (analyst level) a plus APPLY
