APHFTA is seeking to recruit a Quality Officer for the Medical Credit Fund/Safe Care Program. Reporting to the Senior Quality Officer this position is a national Recruitment, based in Dar es Salaam and on open ended contract basis involving some travel.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
Participate in Planning and implementation of quality improvement activities in APFHTA
Participate in developing departmental project budgets, budget forecasts, budget follow-ups
Provide training and technical support to APHFTA members in the quality improvement process Perform base line health facilities assessments, assist in developing quality upgrading plans and monitoring of the implementation
To ensure that quality upgrading plans are properly implemented and synchronized with the approved business plans
Develop monthly, quarterly and annual project reports in collaboration with other staff coordinating between the project's internal and external interfaces
Participate in meetings with APHFTA members, partners and stakeholders as assigned by the supervisor
Key Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required
Minimum of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Public Health or any health equivalent health related field
Advanced Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Medicine/ Nursing or equivalent degree will be an advantage
At least 2 years experience in the relevant field with some experience of working in performance improvement/quality management position
Ability to work with several facilities and partners with a focus on achieving a common goal Communication and interpersonal skills for frequent contact with internal and external stakeholders of the APHFTA to persuade and negotiate on matters of relevance to the project
A good understanding and experience in project management and working towards achieving project's objectives
Leadership skills, including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability
Good Computer skills in MS excel, Word, Powerpoint, internet etc
