The Mtwara Urban Water and Sanitation Authority (MTUWASA) is a legally established entity responsible for overall operations and management of water supply and sanitation services in Mtwara Municipality. The core function of the Authority is to deliver excellent water supply and sanitation services for all categories of customers and stakeholders in Mtwara Municipal. In order to attain its vision and mission MTUWASA is seeking to recruit a dynamic’ experienced, competent and qualified Tanzanian to fill the following vacant posts

Production and Network Engineer (1 Post)

Remuneration
An attractive salary and remuneration in line with the MTUWASA Scheme of Services and Salary Structure will be offered to the right candidate having relevant qualifications, required skills and experience

The successful candidate will be Head of Planning and Construction Section Technical department and she/he will report to the Technical Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitoring water quantity from boreholes and water distribution system and ensuring compliance with the prescribed standards for drinking water
• Supervising laboratory services for chemical and bacteriological analysis
• Recommending sectional of Products Section Resources a minimum cost
• Ensuring effective utilization of Production Section Resources at minimum cost
• Ensure that there is prompt maintenance and repair of all pipe bursts and water loss in reduced to as acceptable standard, less than or equal to 20% of production
• Keeping close monitoring of the system to ensue availability of water supply in terms of quality, and at a recommended pressure in accordance with customer services levels to all areas of the town that are covered by (MTUWASA)

Qualifications
• Holder of a Degree or its equivalent in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering and must be registered with Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania He/She must have at least 3 years working experience in the water sector
• Computer literacy
• Innovative and analytical presentation skills
