PURPOSE
Strategic responsibility for growing and defending profitable market share in dedicated portfolio core focus on originating new business, up-sell and cross-sell into the existing and target client base through identifying opportunities for RMB Corporate Banking. Global Markets and IBD. The role includes credit origination with the aim of maximizing relationship return on capital for the Corporate and Investment bank (CIB)
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
• Analyzing identifying and developing client specific solutions through specific need identification, value chain analysis and client actions plans, Monitoring of efficient limit application and capital development
• Primary day-to-day relationship contact point for the clients, Maintains and deepens relationships at all levels throughout dedicated client portfolio. Focus of relationship is CFO, FD, Treasurer, COO relationships
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a client’s corporate business activities
• Identifying corporate client needs and delivering customized solutions for a portfolio of large corporate clients
• Sound portfolio and risk management and optimizing the true potential of the portfolio
• Responsible for portfolio performance and growth through retention (suitable), new business up-sell and cross-sell by managing relationship profitability/ ROC across all CIB products and services whilst maximizing channel profitability and efficiencies
• Joint pricing responsibility with product areas of drive profitable revenue growth across client base and manage out all value destroyers
• Managing the resolution of transactional banking issues when escalated from operational areas to ensure customer satisfaction
• Initiating quality credit applications Extensive collaboration with Credit risk management prior to and at Credit committee
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• A business related degree, with at least 5-10 years’ experience in relationship management, in a financial institution and/or corporate environment
• Experience in relationship management role and/.or relevant product sales and product experience
• A detailed knowledge of Financial markets (Global Markets), corporate banking (receipts, payments, cash management and trade finance) and investment banking (IBD) products
• The candidate should be experienced in the art of relationship development and negotiating with individuals in the Banking environment at levels of least Treasurer and/or CFO level
• He/she must have previous experience in sourcing “deals” and negotiating their successful conclusion
• The candidate should have an existing Bank client and market network at a senior level
• Understanding of Bank credit risk pricing and Based II (III) implications
• Effective teamwork and collaboration with all business partners in the business environment
