The UTT projects and Infrastructure Development Plc( UTT-PID) is a company,fully owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania under the Ministry of finance. The core functions of UTT- PID is to render multidimensional services in the functional areas of Project Management, Infrastructure Development, Property Management, Project Financing Funds Arrangement, and other associated services.
In order -to discharge its mandate, UTT-PID now invites applications from competent and qualified personnel to fill the position of Senior Financial Analyst I (position reference No. UPID/PMU/0009).
Reports Relationship: Head, Operations Department
Duties & Responsibilities:
Analyzing. Business Plans/Feasibility studies submitted by different clients.
Preparing Business Cases, Feasibility Studies, Project Charters, Financial Plans and other documents from financial side.
Responsible for Cost Management and Financial Controlling of different Projects.
Analyzing the reviewed business plans in order to establish the viability of the projects before recommending it to the investment committee and to the Board of Directors.
Caring out all funds arrangement activities in order to finance the approved projects .
Making proper follow up with financial Institutions to ensure proper operation of Bank facilities
Funds, and any other related financial matters.
Making close follow-ups on recoveries of projects costs and timely realization of the revenues.
Analyzing the cost of the external funding of the project.
Carrying out risks management pertaining to project execution;
Facilitating internal and external audit processes in relation to the project and ensure audit
requirements are monitored throughout the project;
Determining financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.
Preparing monthly reports by showing current and projected revenues and expenditures to provide a basis for comparison and evaluation.
Preparing quarterly consolidated financial reports, and ad hoc financial reports, as required by the
Head of Operations
Participating in Annual Budget Preparation, budget analysis and other budget related activities.
Performing any other duties assigned by his/her supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The holder of this position must have Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA) or its equivalent.
Must also have a fully accredited professional accounting certification i.e. ACCA, CPA (T), CIMA,
plus at least Seven (7) years relevant working experience in similar position.
Must be business oriented with experience in fund raising
Experience in negotiations with Financial Institutions
Proactive with "Can Do" attitude.
