In order for us to organizationally achieve this we have created the talent engagement function, a global framework established to attract, assess and select the best talent for EABL
The talent engagement function’s role is to strengthen succession pools and to enhance organizational performance though the hiring decisions that are made: brilliant talent moves and acquisition.
From the candidate, internal and external, perspective the role of the talent engagement function is to bring to life the employer brand and the fabric of the organization through connecting talent with what makes our culture special. The talent engagement function will engage with external talent in such a way that they develop a ‘job crush’ on EABL resulting in the business being spoiled for choice for external roles. For internal our talent will feel engaged with the internal process and that the experience is one which they value as it links to their growth and development.
Globally we hire in excess of 2000 external hires every year – that is 2000+ opportunities to engage candidates with the Diageo brand and to transform them into Diageo brand ambassadors – regardless of the hiring decision.
The head of talent engagement is the strategic leader of a multi-market team. They lead the talent engagement function and ensures that the talent aspects of the Multi Year Talent Plans(MYTP) are delivered brilliantly and that all talent moves and acquisitions are strengthening the succession pool and ensuring we have no gaps for critical roles for the markets they support.
Purpose of role:
Act Like an owner: Generate the annual plan for talent engagement function from the MYTP for all markets the team supports and creates to ensure delivery of the MYP for the markets supporting, filling talent gaps with great candidates and providing structure and direction for the team.

Understands how the talent engagement function performs against external benchmarks, and is looking to achieve best in class performance.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's degree. An HR qualification is an added advantage.
Minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience in HR Management, with at least 2 years in a specialist role.
Ability to build strong and credible relationships quickly is a key capability you will require, supporting so many different countries and functions means that you will need to have strong relationships and ability to influence senior leaders who are driving their market strategies.
It is critical that you have talent assessment capability and experience, you will also have a solid understanding and experience in recruitment and talent acquisition. You will have a love for the craft of talent attraction, assessment and acquisition.
