Position Description:
Mwananchi Communications Limited, publishers of the leading Tanzania newspapers, Mwananchi, Mwananchi Jumamosi na Jumapili, Mwanaspoti, The Citizen and The Citizen on Saturday and Sunday is looking for motivated and highly experienced individuals to fill the positions of:
Main Responsibilities
-Responsible for supervising the sales staff at the regional office and responsible for achieving the regional office sales targets as well as Planning, coordinating, controlling and supervising the work of the team of free-lance Sales Executives to generate and meet agreed individual and teams' volume against set advertising sales revenue targets and collection at the lake zone.
-Carrying out regular sales meetings with staff to review sales progress, updating the regional business manager and maintaining good employee relations to ensure the highest degree of morale and discipline.
-Carrying out regular client list reviews, discussing free lance Sales Executives daily plans, giving them guidelines and accompanying them to sales pitch meetings with clients.
-Maintaining Sales contracts for clients at the regional office and follow ups to resolves any complaints.
-Identifying s new business opportunities and discussing them with the regional manager for their implementation       
-Maintains close liaison with relevant departments and makes monthly sales and collection reports to the Regional Manager.
-Tracking regional sales staff performance, Appraising them, identifying their strengths and weakness and recommending appropriate training to develop and optimise individual talents.
Qualifications and Experience:
-University degree
-Experience in a management or supervisory position of not less than two years Previous performance records important
-Proactive Ability to work with little supervision
-Aggressive go getter
