Plan International seeks expressions of interest from highly motivated and talented senior- level Health Experts for several anticipated multi-year USAID-funded health projects in Tanzania. Plan is seeking highly qualified candidates with extensive experience working on health and health systems strengthening development projects. Candidates should possess the following skills:
• Extensive experience working within the health sector in Tanzania and/or East and Southern Africa.
• Experience in health systems strengthening, in particular developing community social systems and providing community-level engagement.
• Experience with USAID-funded projects (ideally, in a senior technical or managerial position) highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement strategies that employ evidence-based approaches to meet project targets, especially under rigorous timelines.
• Experience working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders, such as local partners, government officials, donor representatives, and international staff.
• Ability to respond on short notice and plan and execute several activities at once.
• Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Proven experience hiring, training, and supervising teams of international and local staff.
• Proven leadership, inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and ability to build and motivate diverse teams.
• Fluency in English.
