Insurance ICT Supervisor
The Position
Reporting to the Group Head of Bancassurance, the role holder will work closely with the IT Division and will be responsible for the innovation, implementation and support of Bancassurance ICT systems to support overall operations and growth of business.
Key Responsibilities;
- Act as the first point of contact for all IT issues related to Bancassurance Business
- To enforce the bank’s ICT policies for good IT governance by ensuring that installations, systems configurations and user practices adhere to the industry standard and practices
- Analyse business requirements with a view to providing adequate hardware and supporting software solutions in line with business requirements.
- Ensure timely and efficient deployment of the IT systems in the Insurance Agency
- Support of the systems directly or through IT function
- Organize continuous training of the Bancassurance staff on systems use and functionality
- Plan for appropriate continuous training to keep updated with the latest technologies and Insurance/banking trends
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to both unit managers and other stakeholders
Position’s Requirements
- A first degree from a recognized university
- Must possess professional IT Certification (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM, CCNA, MCSE, UNIX)
- At least 5 years in I.T. with hands on experience in;
- System programming
- IT operating systems and databases (e.g. UNIX, Microsoft, Oracle, SQL)
- Must have experience in insurance softwares
- Experience in network infrastructure will be an added advantage
- Good analytical skills required to understand underlying business risks.
- Good planning and organizational skills including problem solving skills
- Demonstrated high integrity standards
- Team player
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
- Ability to deliver effectively under strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop working relationships with a wide range of internal and external personnel.
