ODI is looking to appoint a Consortium Coordinator for an exciting, new four-year research programme focused on identifying ‘Pathways to Resilience in Semi-Arid Economies’ (PRISE).
The role involves working with five research centres in Tanzania, Senegal, Pakistan and the UK to deliver cutting-edge research on how climate change will shape the economic futures of people in semi-arid regions in six countries.
You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of PRISE’s research programme, acting as a focal point for internal and external communications, overseeing the budget and managing a small programme secretariat. While you will be employed by ODI, you will be expected to travel regularly for extended periods to work with the consortium members, to host meetings and to support researchers in the field.
You will have:
- experience of managing research programmes,
- an advanced degree relevant to climate change and economics,
- excellent writing and editing skills in English
- first-class project management and people skills
- experience of working in developing countries
