Plan Regional Office for Eastern and Southern Africa (RESA) invites tenders from qualified research firms for consultancy services to conduct a study, to investigate the Situation of Improved Skills Training for Youth in Africa, within four countries namely; Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
The study implementation requires the study partners (or consulting firm) to have partners and/or consultants in the four countries and can carry out simultaneous data collection. The firm should provide 2-3 senior researchers who need to comply with the following profile:
• Masters degree and/or proven expertise in economics and social development with a specific focus on youth economic empowerment programming
• At least 8 years of research experience in Sub-Saharan Africa and a solid understanding on child rights and child development issues in Africa;
• Excellent experience in working in economic empowerment programs with youth and adults at community level and a commitment to youth participation in programming;
• Solid experience in participatory methodologies and workshop facilitation;
• A track record of published research work in the areas of economic empowerment, and employability and gender
• Excellent scientific writing skills in both French and English.
