Key Roles & Responsibilities
•Processing of all daily counter transactions for deposit/withdrawals to savings, current and fixed deposit accounts (involving cash, cheques, inter-account transfers), cheque books, cashiers orders, remittances (both local and foreign) and handling associated customer interactions/inquiries/complaints to a specified standard of quality.
•Cross-selling of simple products (eg Fixed Deposits, Cards during non-peak transaction times, and where relevant, identify prospects for cross-selling of other products (from observation of customer transactions) to highlight to sales staff.
•Recovering Bank’s revenue at correct rates as per current Service Tariff.
•General reconciliations and control activities (which can be individually assigned) which may typically include:
•Reconciliation of operating accounts for daily control as well as surprise audit proofing
•Daily audit proofing of Tellers’ transactions, ensuring that correct entries have been posted to correct accounts, narrations are adequate and make sense to customers, detecting & recording errors for the same day reversals.
•General filing
Gathering/preparation of statistics for service quality and productivity indicators.
•Conducting investigations initiated by customer inquiry
•Ensure that KYC is complied with according to the laid down instructions
Qualifications & Skills
•GCE ‘O’ level plus 2 years banking experience OR
•Diploma in relevant subjects ( Finance, Banking etc) plus 6 months experience OR
•Degree in relevant subjects plus 6 months experience
•In depth knowledge of ebbs front Office processing system
•Strong customer service orientation
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Salesmanship, energy and drive
•Sound knowledge of administrative procedures
