Tracker Group a leading integrated security solutions provider with a presence in all major cities in Kenya and other selected cities in the East African region seeks to recruit a Fleet Supervisor.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the fleet supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, execution and auditing of maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to company fleet and ensure maximum uptime of the vehicles in a cost effective manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager the fleet supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, execution and auditing of maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to company fleet and ensure maximum uptime of the vehicles in a cost effective manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular and preventive maintenance of a company's fleet equipment;
- Audit pre and post trip inspections, preventative maintenance records, driver logs and is accountable for releasing only safe and road worthy vehicles for company business; Management of the fleet & fuel log system ;
- Maintain records on all company vehicles i.e., oil change, parts used, next service, etc and advise on any parts shortage;
- Indicate proper procedures on checking vehicles on a day to day basis to all drivers;
- Ensure that equipment, spare parts and tools are kept in good condition and stored safely;
- Prepare and directs in-service training programs for newly employed personnel;
- Reviews purchase requests for new and replacement vehicles;
- Receive and process vehicle accident and damage reports;
- Prepare cost analysis and periodic management and operational reports;
Job Requirements:
- Degree/Higher Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, transport management or related Engineering field;
- 5-10 years’ experience as a fleet supervisor;
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of vehicular maintenance and repair
- High level of integrity and a strong work ethic;
- Possession of a valid driver's license and certificate of good conduct;
- Thorough knowledge of: general principles and practices of fleet management, vehicle maintenance, inventory control, fuel inventory and dispensing operations;
- Basic computer skills and a good knowledge Transportation rules and regulations;
- Knowledge of fleet and facilities management, strong communications skills and the ability to direct and supervise the work of assigned staff.
