The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our Education Department in the role of Research Degrees Administrator.

The role of Research Degrees Administrator is an exciting and rewarding opportunity that will assist the Director of Postgraduate Research in supporting students undertaking postgraduate research degrees. You will take responsibility for administrative processes related to the recruitment and monitoring of postgraduate research students; supporting, monitoring and reporting on the quality of the postgraduate research student experience at LSTM. Key duties will include:
- Support the Annual Progress Reports (APRs) process and Postgraduate Research Board of Studies; organising meetings and panels, preparing agendas, taking minutes and ensuring communication and completion of follow-up actions
- Organise and analyse student evaluations of research degree programmes obtained from a range of evaluation mechanisms; including online questionnaires and focus groups
- Organise periodic academic and social events that aim to build a vibrant postgraduate experience, helping to integrate PGR students into the wider LSTM community
You will possess a minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade A-C, or equivalent, including English Language and Maths and will have proven administrative experience working within a customer-focused environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds are essential, as are well-developed organisational, time management and IT skills.
Experience of working in the Higher Education sector or a similar multi-cultural environment would be advantageous, as would experience of research degree administration and survey evaluation.
