I. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission of IOM South Sudan and under the direct supervision of the Migration Health Officer, the incumbent shall perform and manage the Migration Health Assistance for Crisis Affected Populations programme activities in Renk, Upper Nile State.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Manage all programme health activities for crisis affected populations in Renk
2.Manage the programme work plan and budget at the local level
3.Review accuracy of weekly and monthly reports from all Renk clinics and prepare weekly report to Migration Health Unit (MHU) Juba highlighting key issues/actions for follow-up
4.Responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of all health activities in Renk
5.Facilitate field based basic and refresher trainings for IOM staff, community health workers working with the clinics and selected village mid-wives
6.Oversee the programme’s drug supply management chain including monitoring monthly consumption, ensuring secure and proper storage of drugs, and assisting in the pre-positioning and procurement in order to avoid stock-outs
7.Implement health promotion activities, including assisting in the development of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials and mobilising volunteers and/or community health workers for community outreach and mass vaccination campaigns
8.Monitor health activities associated with Onward Transportation Assistance (OTA) including medical screening and escorts, ensure timely reporting and adherence to OTA Standard Operating Procedures
9.In conjunction with MHU Juba, prepare timely donor reports on project activities including location, gender and age disaggregated information
10.Collaborate closely with external partners such as the County Health Department, State Ministry of Health, UN agencies and other stakeholders on activities such as community needs assessments
11.Expand or build relationships with referral health units, such as the Renk County Hospital and other key stakeholders in Renk
12.Assist in the mainstreaming of health activities into other areas of IOM’s work in Renk. 13.Undertake duty travel as required for the implementation of the project
14.Maintain compliance with IOM and donor related requirements including guidelines, rules and regulations
15.Represent IOM at Ministry of Health, Health Cluster and other relevant emergency health related meetings

IV. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
a)Completed medical or nursing degree or university degree in Public Health from accredited academic institutions or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
b) 3-4 years programmatic experience working in the field of emergency health, monitoring and evaluation and/or program management;
c) Ability to liaise with partners and stakeholders from the Government, community, NGO and international sectors.
d) proven skills in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and establishing and maintaining working relations with government officials, UN agencies, NGOs, including familiarity with the humanitarian cluster system;
e) demonstrated ability to identify, approach, and coordinate with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and levels of expertise;
f) demonstrated ability and willingness to work in difficult areas/situations; and drive for results.
g) Knowledge of IOM emergency operations desirable.
h) Past work experience in Eastern Africa an advantage.
i) Ability to work effectively under time constraints.
