Account Manager - Telco IDC - Kenya
This position is created to fulfill IDC’s increasing focus on research and advisory services in Telecommunication sector in the sub-Saharan Africa region. This role supports IDC’s rapidly growing client base and manages key accounts in Telecommunication sector.
Responsibilities:
- Sales of IDC's product portfolio, with focus on syndicated reports & trackers & achieve quota goals for the year.
- Develop, own and maintain relationships with existing & new telecom accounts in Sub Saharan Africa & identify main decision makers for upselling and cross selling opportunities
-Conceptualize, design and position new service and advisory offerings to suit individual clients
-Prepare proposal based on requirements gathered from prospective clients
- Increase market penetration through expansion of current products within major accounts, and identifying new business opportunities;
- Strategic account planning including new account development surrounding multiple products & services, and incremental growth of existing accounts.
- Preparation of annual sales plan, monthly forecasts and submission of final results.
Desired Skills & Experience
- University Degree; MBA Preferred
- min. 6-8 years of experience in Sales/Pre-sales/Product Management within the communication service providers, and/or Telecommunication vendors or integrators in the Africa region, and be excellent at establishing and managing relationships with customers and prospects
- Good level of user knowledge of MS Powerpoint & MS Excel
- Overview of ICT markets in the Africa region
