Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Required; Solidarity with South Sudan (www.solidarityssudan.com), seeks to employ a Chief Financial Officer to work in-country. Applicants must have at least 3 years practical experience of managing a financial system in a developing country or corresponding experience. The CFO will oversee the development of the organization’s financial system and manage local finance personnel. This volunteer position offers an opportunity for growth and development. Salary and expenses will reflect international volunteer guidelines.
Solidarity with South Sudan ('Solidarity') is a collaborative initiative, seen as an act of solidarity between religious congregations of women and men who are members of the Union of Superiors General (USG), the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) and the Church in South Sudan under the direction of the Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference (SCBC). This project became operational in South Sudan in 2008. It focuses on 4 main areas - training local personnel in the areas of education, health, agriculture and pastoral development. It is a new model where religious congregations collaborate internationally in order to respond more effectively to the immense and urgent needs in South Sudan. Solidarity members are based in 5 locations in South Sudan – Juba, Malakal, Yambio, Riimenze and Wau. Currently there are 34 religious working in South Sudan.
