Analyst, Strategic Market Intelligence Africa
As our Analyst, Strategic Market Intelligence you will be our local point of contact for market research, competitive intelligence and analysis of business drivers, market trends, competitors & customers in the region. You will:
- Observe record, analyze & interpret trends in both SES African business and in the overall Sub Saharan satellite market;
- Carry out competitive analysis, market assessments, customer-segmentation and analyses that contribute to market intelligence support;
- Identify off-the-shelf market research for the region; engage with consultants for customized research projects in this region;
- Support internal stakeholders with strategic marketing information in order to generate sales leads according to the specific satellite capacity targets of the sales team for Broadcast, Enterprise and the strategic interests of the business development team;
- Identify, analyze and structure of business growth opportunities (including M&A, JVs, Strategic Partnerships and shared satellite agreements);
- Collect and analyze data for new satellite requirements as well as country-specific growth strategies incl. sales channels, value-added partners, etc.
The position will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa with an initiation period in Luxembourg of 6-8 months.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Africa;
- University Degree in finance, economics, business, marketing, policy or law;
- Proven ability to work successfully and collegially in a multi-cultural environment;
- Strong analytical skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to prioritize and deliver under pressure;
- Organized, attention-to-detail & and focused on execution;
- Excellent command of spoken & written business English, and French, Portuguese, Afrikaans or Swahili is a plus.
