Global Communities, formerly CHF International, is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable changes that improve the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable. In the anticipated proposal for Rwanda’s Agriculture Growth (USAID), the Chief of Party will guide the entire project effort with a clear, consistent, and committed vision to increase smallholder incomes by promoting private sector investments – internationally and domestically - that contribute to transforming agriculture into a market-oriented, competitive, and high-value sector. The COP’s background will include:
• Demonstrated expertise as a chief-of-party with a minimum of 5 years experience managing large (at least $10 million), complex agricultural development and agriculture investment promotion programs with a value chain growth focus, preferably within an African context; • A successful track record in policy analysis and dialogue with host country governments • The ability to be collaborative across projects, flexible and creative; and • Strong communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to productively interact with a wide range and levels of organizations (government, private sector, NGOs, research institutions).
