Responsibilities
Support the EcoMobility Festival Team in organizing the EcoMobility World Festival.
Assist the Project Administrator in project coordination and management tasks;
Assist in project administration, accounting and reporting, archiving;
Assist in developing an coordinating the Festival program;
Support the coordination of international events, including those organized by various partners,
during the Festival;
Support logistics (e.g. organizing travel, accommodation, participants registration, payment
processes);
Draft technical reports and newsletters;
Assist in marketing, publications and media work (e.g. book, film, photo, website, etc.) and other
project related documentation;
Communicate with international partners.
Requirements
Degree in a relevant subject such as Events Management, Marketing, Business Administration,
Urban Planning or any other subject relevant to the project;
Strong affinity to non-motorized and ecomobile forms of urban transport (ranging from walking aids
to cycles to light electric vehicles to public transport); bring enthusiasm and experience;
Interest in the organization of complex events;
Excellent organizing skills, structured working style, creative and pro-active attitude;
Excellent written and oral communication style;
Confidence and ease in communicating with international partners;
Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken), additional languages, esp.
Korean, are an asset;
Confident user of Microsoft Office applications;
Skills and experience in database management; web editing (Typo3 or other CMS) and desktop
publishing (preferably InDesign).
Terms and conditions
The position is available from January 2013 at the ICLEI World Secretariat in Bonn, Germany. The
contract duration will be twelve months.

International travel will be required, including a stay in Suwon, South Korea for at least one month
in September 2013.
Communication with partners around the world may require work during unusual hours.
ICLEI offers an appropriate gross annual salary and employment benefits according to the
qualifications of the selected candidate.
Workings hours: 40 hours/week; 29 days of paid leave per year.
Working language: English.
Due to legal requirements, non-German applicants must be eligible to obtain the appropriate work
permit for Germany prior to the start of the position.
