The Legal Skills Advisor works under the direct supervision of the Legal Education Section Lead. The Legal Skills Advisor will undertake a wide range of tasks to develop and improve the practical skills of students in the Law and Sharia faculties.Duties and Responsibilities
•Establish and support clinical programs, moot courts, mock trials, and other practical skills activities•Collaborate with the Ministry of Higher Education and faculty deans, and professors to design, develop, coordinate, and implement national meetings and conferences (such as the Legal Education Symposium) to improve curriculum, faculty development, and establish best practices for practical skills programs including the legal clinics
•Collaborate with the faculty deans and professors to develop an advocacy skills curriculum with course outlines, lesson plans, and materials
•Select and develop the capacity of Law and Sharia professors to teach legal skills courses and mentor students participating in moot courts and other competitions
•Identify individuals who would benefit from participation in study tours and legal education programs and facilitate the arrangements for those tours and programs
•Work collaboratively with other members of the RLS-Formal project to facilitate program activities
•Monitor, evaluate, and improve RLS-Formal program activities
•Promptly and fully report and document all work activities
•Perform other duties as assigned by management team and direct supervisor.
Qualification
Minimum of 3 years experience in an equivalent or substantially similar position. Experience working for an NGO, international organization, or USAID-funded project is a plus.Skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and willingness to travel to the provinces and work irregular hours as required to complete program assignments, Computer proficiency (i.e., MicroSoft programs, internet, email, PowerPoint)Language(s) required
