Data and Technology Intern, People Engagement Programme Team Transparency International Berlin, Germany
Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 100 National Chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
As part of TI’s 5-year Strategy (TI Strategy 2015) we set out to engage more people than ever before in the fight against corruption. The main TI-S contribution to the Movement realising its ambitions in this area is the implementation of the People Engagement Programme. As part of this effort, we have developed and rolled out an ambitious data-collection platform capturing information on hundreds of thousands of corruption-related complaints and cases around the world, received by our free advocacy and legal advice centres (http://www.transparency.org/getinvolved/report) .
