Job: Applications Officer-T24
Location: Kigali
Who are our next Applications Officer-T24?
A candidate who has at least 3 years experience in a banking sector, has a Degree in Computer Scleqce or In Information Systems or a related courses. lie or she has excellent knowledge of English and French both written and verbal. Our Applications Officer -124 must have a strong drive to deliver results & to meet (beset deadlines., a good communicator, has team spirit. Analytical/Problem solving, leadership, organizational, communication and Interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Computer Operating systems & Database Technology (Design, software & structure) is essential.
Service mission:
The Application Officer manages (Functional & technical management) one or more applications according to Service Level Agreements, such to ensure that users can serve the customers on time. (T-24, Everest, Swift & Postilion- a BPR ATM/POS switch)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring availability & performance of one or more applications.
• To inform the system administrator about the associated hardware resources allocated to the applications & to ensure high resilience and performing tuning.
• To proactively monitor applications to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving according to Incident & problem management process.
• Responsible for Improvement & maintenance of the application to include design/ built/ test new upgrades/ releasss, production testing & assist with technical implementation (Change Management).
• Solving Issues by creating the Scripts if necessary.
• Identify business processes where improvements can be made through managed application.
• Working to tight deadlines & when necessary, long hours & to be available for call-out on evenings and weekends.
•Train Helpdesk Officers if necessary.
