Director of Business Development
This is a new position in the Adeso structure that will be based in Washington DC/Metro area. The main purpose of the position is to oversee the staff and office of Adeso in Washington DC as well as to develop new strategic partnerships to further the organization’s programs and impact in Africa. The candidate will be engaged in the successful mobilization of resources through targeted relation building and a strong entrepreneurial approach to spotting and maximizing funding opportunities. The candidate will be working closely with the Adeso USA Board of Directors to develop relationships and tap into existing networks within USAID, the corporate, foundations, diaspora, and potential individual benefactors. The candidate will also be strongly engaged in seeking opportunities with USAID.

Monitoring & Evaluation Manager – Resilience and Economic Growth in Arid Lands: Improving Resilience (REGAL IR)
As a member of REGAL IR Senior Management Team, the M&E Manager will be responsible for the program’s monitoring and evaluation function. The post holder will provide technical leadership and support the development of comprehensive performance monitoring plans for REGAL IR and its partners ensuring that all indicators are covered across the program technical areas. These will in turn form the basis for data collection, ensuring data quality and integrity, analyzing indicator data, organizing monthly formative feedback sessions for project staff, and monitoring compliance with USAID specified targets.

Deputy Country Director – Somalia
The Deputy Country Director, in collaboration with the Somalia Country Director, is responsible for the ongoing program planning and development, donor representation, and daily oversight and management of Adeso’s South Somalia programs. The position is based in Nairobi with regular travel to program sites in Southern Somalia. The Deputy Country Director reports to the Somalia Country Director.

Program Director – Somalia
The Program Director will be responsible for overall strategic leadership and oversight to the project. S/he will ensure timely and efficient delivery of project’s results. S/he will be responsible for coordinating partners, project planning and review, stakeholder engagement, financial and people management, and donor reporting. The Director of the program is responsible for managing 5 multi-year programs based in Garowe in Puntland. S/he provides the vision and leadership in Program administration and is responsible overall Program implementation ensuring high quality performance. S/he maximizes budget resources and personnel development and remains flexible in a continually changing environment.
