To support the programme in the development of proposals, reports, case studies, and other relevant documentation, and assist the Country Team in knowledge management, preparation of materials for advocacy and the documentation and dissemination of learning’s.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ______________________________________________________
- Documentation (Proposals, Reports, Case Studies)
- Provide support to the programme team in the write-up of concept notes and proposals.
- Assist in ensuring timely submission of high quality proposals by administering proposal preparation time-frames, supporting personnel inputting on the submission, editing and write-ups and ensuring submission complies with format and administration requirements of the donor.
- Support the development of high quality, timely, and accurate donor and internal reports.
- Support programme teams to develop the capacity of staff and partners in producing good quality proposals, reports, case studies, newsletters, and other relevant documentation.
- Produce case studies that demonstrate best practice in areas of Concern’s work and also address problems/constraints and critical issues.
- Advocacy and Learning
- Assist in the development and rolling out of the advocacy strategy for Concern Tanzania.
- Support the preparation of information and analysis to support advocacy initiatives
- Assist in communications relating to advocacy initiatives.
- In conjunction with the Programme team, support the identification, documentation and dissemination of lessons in the Country Programme
- Communications and Knowledge Management
- Support effective internal and external communications in line with Concern Tanzania Communications Plan.
- Develop processes and initiatives that contribute to a learning culture within Concern Tanzania that ensure our work is informed by experience, lessons learned and best practice.
- Review and develop a robust knowledge management system for the Country Office and regional offices.
- Work with the Desk Officer Dublin to ensure the Tanzania country site is up to date (intra and internet.
- Support with the roll out of HAP accountability commitments especially communications elements.

- Ensure Concern Tanzania is adhering to donor visibility obligations.
- Contribute to development, review, and revisions of institutional and country programme strategies and policies, and assist teams with research related to relevant government strategy plans and progress reports.
- Any other tasks mutually agreed with the line Manager.

Qualification, skills and Experience: • A Masters Level qualification in Development Studies or a related Social Sciences field. • Excellent analytical and English writing skills with the ability to write reports and proposals to international donor standards. • Strong IT skills with high level of competence in computer applications in MS Office. • Experience in working with data for analysis and communication purposes. • Experience working in a similar role. • Experience in communicating to a wide audience using a range of media.
