TIPER Senior Accountant Job

Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Co Ltd (TIPER). Is a hospitality storage facility for bulk fuel with Its shares divided equally between the Government of Tanzania and AOG. The company is undergoing business growth and as we are keeping track on the trend we wish to recruit for the following position(s):

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and supervising accounting functions to ensure they are carried out in compliance within the company's specified financial and operational guidelines/policies and in adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies (GAAP).

Major role of this position is to ensure accurate and timely processinq of all financial transactions, reconciliation of accounts, preparation of the trial balance and delivering efficient service to internal customers, while at the same time assuring that the business adheres to risk management standards.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, biannual financial reports and update on financial software.

Provide appropriate data to the Finance and Administration Manager for preparation of annual accounts and reports.

Checking and reviewing all posting to accounting system.

Supervising and reviewing general ledger reconciliations. Reviewing internal controls, writing down procedures. Manage AIR and A/P.

Experience and Requirements:

Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent). CPA (T) or its equivalent is added advantage.

Five years in a senior position in Accounts & Finance department.

Computer literate with good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAPs) andIFRS+Tax regulations. Knowledge in Pastel is a Plus.
