The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare through National TB and leprosy Control Programme has received funds from the CDC/PERFER and Global Fund to strengthen TB/HIV collaborative activities.
The Ministry intends to use part of the funds to recruit highly motivated and competent Tanzanians on contract basis for a period of two years with possibility of renewal. The Ministry is seeking candidates for the following positions:-
Duty Station: Simanjiro, Mbulu, Kiteto, Sumbawanga U, Kibondo, Misenyi, Kongwa, Rorya, Bukoba -Urban,Tunduru, Kilolo, Chunya, Rungwe, Mtwara Urban.
Responsible to: District Medical Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the DTLC to establish baseline data on TB/HIV activities at the selected health facilities. Conduct supervisory visits to health facilities implementing collaborative TB/HIV activities. Prepare reports on Supervisory visits and provide feedback on achievements and constraints to the CHMT.
Participate in training of other health care providers in TB/HIV Prepare quarterly TB/HIV reports and submit timely to the CHMT.
Participate in planning and developing Council Health Plans (CCHP) with other CHMT members.
Any other duties as assigned by the DMO.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in clinical medicine or Advanced Diploma in clinical medicine At least 3 years experience in public health service.
Good command of English and Kiswahili.
Willingness to work in a team.
Good writing and basic computer skills is an added advantage. Not more than 45 years of age.
