MOHSW Assistant National TB/HIV Coordinator

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare through National TB and leprosy Control Programme has received funds from the CDC/PERFER and Global Fund to strengthen TB/HIV collaborative activities.

The Ministry intends to use part of the funds to recruit highly motivated and competent Tanzanians on contract basis for a period of two years with possibility of renewal. The Ministry is seeking candidates for the following positions:-

Duty station:Dar es Salaam

Responsible toProgramme Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist national TB/HIV coordinator in the implementation of TB/HIV activities in the country in the following areas:

Coordinate TB/HIV activities in CDC supported region Prepare technical progress reports

Write proposal to request funds from donor Participate in the development of technical guidelines Prepare budge and planning

Provide technical support to partners in the implementation of collaborative TB/HIV activities

Conduct supportive supervision at regional level

Any other duties as assigned by the Programme Manager

Qualifications and Experience

Medical doctor, added advantage will be given to the incumbent with Master of Public Health (MPH)

At least 3 years experience in public health service. Good command of English and Kiswahili. Willingness to work in a team.

A good writing and computer skill is an added advantage. Not more than 45 years of age.
