PwC Tanzania invites applications from qualified candidates for the position below:-Country Risk, Independence and Quality (R&Q) Manager
Main Purpose:
Reporting to the Country Senior Partner (CSP), the main purpose of this role is to support the business in its Risk Management and Compliance (RM&C) by ensuring effective systems, processes and resources are in place and properly managed. He / She will be expected to support the CSP and country management team in the following areas:
- Firm-wide risk management
- Compliance with PwC network standards
- Compliance with local and relevant global regulatory matters
- Promote the firms values and code of conduct
- Coordinate and develop a risk management strategy for the firm
- To maintain an Enterprise-wide risk register for the firm and ensure there is an effective process in place for assessing, responding, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting key business risks to the management team
- Disseminate PwC network standards and develop standards/ guidance to respond to specific local circumstances
- Support the CSP in all Risk, Independence and Quality Management (RIQ) related matters, particularly in monitoring compliance
- Development and management of systems and processes relevant to RIQ within the firm
- Develop and maintain a repository of information for risk management methodology and best practice
- Produce periodic reports including monthly reports for the Country Management Team
- Ensure that developments in RIQ within the PwC network are communicated in-country
- Carry out periodic RIQ compliance assessments in Tanzania and elsewhere, working with others within the PwC network
- Facilitate and roll-out globally mandated RIQ training locally
Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to have the following demonstrable skills and competencies:- Degree from a recognized university
- Substantial experience in related business environment
- Strong business insight and good customer relationship skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrable strategic thinking skills and experience operating at a strategic level
- Decision-making skills and reporting on complex issues
- Ability to exploit IT systems and to develop effective information networks and management information
- Demonstrate the ability to lead by example, manage, motivate and develop staff
