The Protection Cluster Co-Facilitator/Goma will strengthen the technical quality of WV eDRC’s protection interventions, to co-facilitate the North Kivu protection cluster with UNHCR and to support the roll-out of the protection mainstreaming pilot support package developed by the Global Protection Cluster.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Provincial Protection Cluster Co-Facilitation in co-leadership with UNHCR for North Kivu.
• Work with the provincial cluster co-lead to promote and support the timely and effective management of the provincial cluster’s tasks within the wider humanitarian system (monitoring progress against indicators, information relay, needs assessment, strategy development, transparent arbitration on CERF and Pooled Fund allocations, setting of indicators, evaluation of training needs of cluster members, training cluster members, developing a rapid response mechanism, and advocating for protection issues etc.)
• Provide protection advisory support for World Vision DRC.
• Provide overall technical support for World Vision DRC (assessment, protection mainstreaming, project design, training, mentoring, evaluations etc.)
• Support Protection Cluster rollout of protection mainstreaming package across DRC– subject to confirmation of selection of DRC as pilot country.
• Subject to selection for pilot mainstreaming support package, this role will be required to facilitate the rollout through the National level protection cluster.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• Master’s degree in International Development/Social Sciences/ Law
• Experience of advocacy and representation in complex working environments
• Experience of protection programming, in a management or advisory capacity
• Experience of working in the humanitarian cluster system, and strong understanding of the role of clusters with humanitarian systems
• Experience of developing and implementing tools and systems
• Facilitation or Training of Trainers experience
• Fluency in written and spoken French, working knowledge of English
• Strong analytical, negotiating, networking and strategic thinking skills
