Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Overall Responsibilities
Support the Programs team to effectively achieve its goals and deliver
on its outputs and work plan for Uganda.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Manage country office program activities by organizing meetings,
making travel and hotel bookings, sending invitations and preparing materials
for meetings;
2. Support in the compilation of reports and publications to the Regional
Office;
3.
Keep abreast of the
country program and ensure that activities are implemented as per set calendar;
4. Ensure all files and documentation – including contracts, proposals,
and – are well organized digitally as well in hard copy and regularly updated.
5.
Ensure that
invoices (payment vouchers) are processed for payment on time and are well
documented;
6. Assist in the drafting of consultancy contracts, process consultants’
expense reports, and coordinate consultants’ travel needs;
7. Assist in closing the documentation cycle in contract management and
payment processing;
8. Draft letters and undertake basic correspondence on behalf of the
Program unit in Kenya;
9. Assist in scheduling appointments for the Uwezo Country Coordinator
10. Assist in collecting data from partner organizations for monitoring
purposes, and entering such data;
11.
Support program
team and other management level staff upon request of the Regional Program
Manager and Uwezo Country Coordinator.
General Responsibilities
1. Successfully implement above responsibilities and assigned activities
(and associated budgets) in work plans, consistent with Twaweza Policies
2.
Contribute
effectively to planning, monitoring, reporting and information dissemination of
Twaweza’s work
3.
Comply with and
foster adherence to the established Twaweza policies, regulations, guidelines
and procedures.
4. Participate actively in organization‐wide learning and other joint
activities
5. Undertake any other lawful tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Core Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
2. At least two years’ experience related to your responsibilities ;
3. Very good writing skills in English with keen attention to detail;

5. Strong computer and typing skills and use of database and internet;
6. Very good organizational skills.
