With over 70,000 registered volunteers, Kenya Red Cross plays a lead role in emergency response, disaster preparedness, health service delivery and blood donor recruitment across the country.
Kenya Red Cross is seeking a volunteer to support its social research program in Mombasa. Operational research plays a key role in several health projects focussed on tuberculosis, orphaned and vulnerable children, drug users and maternal and child health.
The volunteer will help design and execute project-related research tasks, design baseline assessments and train staff across the region in social research methods.
This is a volunteer assignment under the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program, an Australian Government, AusAID initiative. Airfares, living allowances, accommodation, insurance and other support is provided through the program.
