The British Council in Uganda is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the post of an Exams Marketing Officer.
Purpose of Job
To implement marketing and promotional campaigns and collaborate on business development strategy for Examinations in Uganda.
Context and Environment
The Exams business in Uganda will represent about a half of total Country turnover in 2012/13 and is a key part of our business. As we expand, we face challenges of environment, infrastructure, communications, in addition to the possible threat of competition as possible competitors recognise the opportunities in Uganda. Through a diversified portfolio of examinations products, we engage with a range of audiences, integrating our offer where we can with British Council’s programme activity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in marketing, communications and brand development/management
- Proactive and demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communications skills with both internal and external audiences
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and juggle tasks
- Qualification in a related discipline
