We are looking for a proactive and driven Program Manager to support a pilot program, SamaUSA, within San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunter’s Point community. SamaUSA is an innovative training program that helps low-income community college students find and succeed in online work. The Program Manager is responsible for day-to-day coordination and execution of the training program. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success managing or coordinating employment or education programs for low-income communities in the San Francisco area. Based in our San Francisco office and reporting to the Director of SamaUSA, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for helping Samasource to start our first US-based program.
Your Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and executing a successful pilot launch in the Bayview-Hunters Point area of San Francisco?
• Oversee day-to-day operations and effective functioning of the training site
• Manage student recruitment process, including student outreach and working with recruitment partners?
• Provide ongoing support to current and former students at training site?
• Work collaboratively with other organizations and partners to support student and program success?
• Collect and maintain data on current and former students, create reports and updates as needed?
• Work with classroom instructor in creating a positive and welcoming learning environment?
• Contribute to creating best practices to ensure student retention and success
• Provide ongoing feedback and implement changes to improve effectiveness of program model
• Play a central role in building a strong presence for the program in the local community
Requirements:
• Proven community knowledge and cultural competency in regards to the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco
• BA/BS from a top-tier university
• 3+ years experience in program management in education, vocational or employment training programs
• Demonstrated ability to create systems that enhance operational efficiency
• High level of competency working with communities of cultural and socioeconomic diversity
• Demonstrated track record of collaborating and building relationships with multiple organizations or partners
• Passionate and committed to the Samasource mission
• Superlative interpersonal and oral communication
• Results and data-driven, strong analytical skills
• At home in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity
• Familiarity with Keynote and Pages for Mac a plus
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
