Società Italiana di Monitoraggio - SIM S.p.A is active in international technical assistance programmes for the benefit of Central and Local Administrations, Public Agencies and Local Communities. It possesses knowledge, expertise and contacts enabling it to be a veritable “bridge” between advanced countries, possessors of know-how, and emergent countries or countries in transition, possessors of resources and potentials not yet exploited. The Company is preparing an offer of services for the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) of the World Bank in Tanzania in order to provide technical assistance and operational research through the national government and 6 regional governmental authorities to help meet Tanzanias National Sanitation Campaign. Nationally, the campaign seeks to have 7 million Tanzanians gain access to improved sanitation. The objective of this assignment is to demonstrate and learn from emerging approaches to increase sanitation demand and supply on a large scale. The assignment will entail working through government authorities at national and regional levels.
The period of the project is expected to be from January 2013 to March 2015
For this assignment we are seeking a qualified expert having experience in CTLS and improvement of sanitation
· Experience in community mobilization and facilitation
· Knowledge of business regulatory environment and institutional arrangements at regional, district, ward, and community levels,
Experiences in Training and in facilitation of CLTS
Piloted, and designed workshop for CLTS, household water treatment, water supply and sanitation
· Experience in structuring and implementing operational research
