Warehouse Controller Tanzania-Kagera

The successful incumbent will be responsible to manage and provide leadership and Training to the Senior Warehouse supervisors in areas of, Material Handling/Issuing, Cyclic Counting, Goods Receivables, Safety management of Forklifts, Cranes, and general housekeeping. Developing the related processes and procedures to ensure Warehouse efficiency. Manage Warehouse Projects.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Warehouse Controller position is responsible for:

· Provide support to the Supply Superintendent to enable that position to achieve the targets and goals, as identified by the Senior Management

· Actively managing a Succession Planning and mentoring programme through the Warehouse team, ensuring PML - TGM commitments to the Tanzanian government with respect to the development of Tanzanian employees to allow them to assume positions of increasing accountability are achieved.

· Setting of daily work tasks, monitoring the day to day workloads of the Senior Warehouse Supervisors

· Provide leadership and support to the Senior Warehouse supervisors, ensure KPI’s and targets are met, thus maintaining a high level of service to the internal customers.

· Implement and Manage the Stock Cyclic Counting program with emphasis on computer Inventory accuracy.

· Manage computerized inventory integrity through all aspects of Issuing, Stock adjusting and receivable transactions; maintain a high level of ethics, while conducting the daily business.

· Ensure that all Warehouse personnel follow the Barrick core values,

· To be pro-active in all aspects of operational safety, efficient utilisation of the resources and encourage teamwork across the departments.

· Follow PML site safety rules at all times.

Degree on Material Management, Supply Chain or Engineering.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Materials / Warehouse management position of which at least 3 were in a leadership role in a remote Mining environment.

Skills: High level of interpersonal skills.

Performance orientated.

Experience with ERP system (Pronto XI preferred) and Microsoft office.

Possess Driving License or Forklift Ticket
