CEDOVIP is a local NGO that works to prevent violence against women in Uganda. We work with women, men, government institutions, policy makers, civil society and the media.
The Director of Programs will be responsible for the following:
Provide day to day leadership and direction for staff.
Mentor and guide staff in planning, implementation, documentation and monitoring of activities.
Contribute to the development of strategic directions for CEDOVIP programming.
Oversee the preparation of budgets and financial reporting.
Serve as a member of the organization’s leadership team.
Represent CEDOVIP in national and international events.
Foster and sustain a positive, innovative, results-oriented work environment.
Other duties as requested by the Executive Director
Requirement:
Qualifications:
At least 7 years relevant work experience in violence against women prevention with at least 3 years in management.
Excellent writing and computer skills.
MA degree or relevant experience.
Proven commitment to VAW prevention work.
