DUTY STATION: Intersos field missions
DURATION: From six months to one year
ROLE, TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Project manager represent INTERSOS with Project stakeholders and donors, in agreement and on the basis of the Head of Mission’s indications. S/he is responsible for the implementation of all the activities and the economic and financial management of the project. Specifically he/she is responsible to: • Maintain the relationship with the donors and the local authorities/stakeholders • Participate to the main meeting concerning the project of his/her responsibility • Follow up the possibility for new project proposal and write it. • Management of the project assigned to him/her and of all implementation phases, on the basis of the orientation and supervision of the Head of Mission. • Ensure monitoring missions and information gathering tools on the basis agreed with the donors and partners, and ensures the quality of data collected. • S/he works with the Country Director in the administrative and project budget under the procedures provided by the donor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS • Proved experience in Project management in multicultural context. • At least 3 year of experience in post emergency and post recovery programmes in developing Country. • Ability to work to tight deadlines, with minimal supervision; ability to work under-pressure and to respect deadlines; • Strong analytical, training, oral and written communication, and team-building skills; • Good diplomatic and networking skills: the ability to effectively manage a variety of internal and external relationships, including relationships with donors; • Proven people management and leadership skills: the ability to lead staff and promote productivity in a pleasant work environment; • Good knowledge of spoken and written English or French is necessary. Italian will be considered a plus. • Comfortable with computer use; problem solving and organizational capabilities. • Good knowledge of the procedure of international donors and management of security, and UNHCR specifically.
