Role Summary/Purpose: As a Commercial Analyst, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities at various stages in the conceptualization, structuring and advancement of initiatives and opportunities including, but not limited to; preparing internal strategy documents, performing competitive analyses, market sizing, opportunity structuring, coordinating and managing relationships with internal GE business groups, liaising with external stakeholders/partners (public & private) and performance analysis/reporting.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Participate in the evaluation and development of a variety of new business opportunities and initiatives; developing business cases, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, market sizing, providing local business and market insights, performing analyses and presenting recommendations
- Support the advancement of opportunities/initiatives including; preparing status updates and business case presentations for internal and external partners/stakeholders
- Assist the development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders (public & private) and all levels of management; coordinate engagements, liaise to strengthen customer intelligence, manage interactions and updates
- Collaborate with various GE business units & product portfolios (sales, Comm Ops, & functional teams) to advance opportunities/initiatives as required
- Facilitate performance monitoring; prepare pipeline progress updates - sales/orders and status reports for opportunities/initiatives
- Perform other duties as necessary within the scope of the post holder’s capabilities
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and relevant business majors. Technical/Engineering desired but not necessary. Advanced degree an advantage.
- 5 – 8+ years’ industrial or commercial experience and demonstrated success in developing effective business strategies that have led to measurable business growth
- Proven track record in negotiating and closing business deals
- Demonstrated business acumen and good financial awareness
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Good at business case building and analysis
- Strong problem and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent team player, who is able to work effectively in a global team environment
- Ability to professionally represent the company at external partner meetings
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks to deadlines
- Entrepreneurial background a plus
