The U.S. Mission Addis Ababa is seeking an individual for the position of Automotive Mechanic in the GSO section of the Embassy.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Automotive Mechanic Foreman, incumbent performs a major and minor overhauling and repair work on all USG vehicles.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1. Required Education: Completion of secondary school with a vocational training from a recognized institute in producing journeyman in automotive mechanic is required.
2. Required Experience: A minimum of two years of journeyman automotive mechanic experience is required.
3. Language Requirement: Level 3 (Good working knowledge) of Amharic and Level 2 (Limited knowledge) of English is required.
4. Other Skills: Incumbent must have a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of journeyman vehicle maintenance and repair techniques, tools, testing, and standards in relation to a variety of vehicle types and manufactures, from sedans to trucks to forklifts; and 3rd grade driving license is also required.
5. Interpersonal Skill Requirements: Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, subordinates and other embassy personnel is required.
SELECTION PROCESS
