Background
The Government of Uganda through the Office of Prime Minister (0PM) is coordinating the implementation of the Peace Recovery and Development Plan (PRDP) for Northern Uganda. Private Sector Foundation Uganda on behalf of Government of Uganda and through Business Uganda Development Scheme (BUDS) is implementing a 13 million project funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) to boost private sector growth, investment and employment opportunities in northern Uganda for the period June 2010-June 2015.
Objective:
The overall objective of the project is ‘to stimulate pro-poor economic growth in region and to better retain the economic benefits accruing from agriculture and other market sectors in the PRDP sub-regions including parts of Bunyoro, Acholi, Lango, West Nile, Karamonja, Teso and Bukedi.
Private Sector Foundation Uganda wishes to recruit a Risk and Compliance Advisor for the BUDS-DFID project based at the Gulu project office.
Job Functions:
The Risk and Compliance Advisor’s major task is to strengthen Private Sector Foundation Uganda/BUDS-DFID’s grant management process ensuring value for money for all supported activities under the project. Specifically the Advisor’s role will include;
