1. JOB POSITION Title : Nurse Educator-Eastern Province (1)

- To support and report to the IMB Director of Medical Education & Training in Rwanda in collaboration with the PIH Director of Global Nursing in Boston on hospital nurse training and educational initiatives.
- To provide clinical accompaniment in the district based hospital focusing on quality care and improved patient outcomes.
- To work closely with the IMB Nurse Educator Team and with Ministry of Health partners (Chiefs of Nursing at each district hospital) to develop a program to build nurse capacity and improve nursing practice.
- To assist in the coordination, and integration of various nurse specialist volunteers coming to Rwanda for short-term stays.
- To accompany and mentor the training facilitator in Southern Kayonza in the development of ad-hoc training curricula for district hospital-based nurses.
- To regularly mentor district hospital-based nurses during clinical rounds in the wards.
- To ensure that appropriate data for hospital-based nurse training and educational initiatives is collected and to collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Department to ensure that appropriate indicators are chosen, updated and measured
- To ensure integration of yearly clinical training goals and objectives for nurses with broader policies from local and national political/academic leadership.
- To provide input into the writing of grant proposals to fund further clinical training of nurses in collaboration with the Boston-based development and training teams
- To provide technical support for development and pilot testing of protocols and curricula for hospital-based nurses in collaboration with the chief of nurses, ward nurse “responsables”, IMB curriculum specialist, and the Boston-based training team.
Job Requirement
- At least 5 years of experience as a RN, A0 preferred
- At least 2 years of previous experience in nurse clinical training and education
- Knowledge of and experience working in thedistrict hospital setting
- Previous experience in unit based education/mentorship is preferred
2. Position Title : Food Security and Livelihoods Program Manager (1)

General Objectives : The Food Security and Livelihoods Program Manager is responsible for : program integration and implementation ; measuring and reporting established performance indicators ; monitoring expenditures compared to budget ; team building and capacity development ; and representing IMB locally and regionally on matters of food security as assigned.The Food Security and Livelihoods Program Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.While the Food Security and Livelihoods Program Manager is responsible for the day to day activities and performance of the program, this position will work closely with the Food Security and Livelihoods Technical Advisor to identify and adopt innovations and best practices, and develop strategic partnerships with organizations working both locally and regionally. Length of Contract : Indeterminate
Specific Responsibilities :
- Directly supervises the daily performance of coordinators and assistants who support the implementation of agriculture training and microfinance activities, including IMB’s agriculture assistance workers (AAWs)
- Organize the deployment of program resources in a strategic manner to improve service delivery in Kayonza District and ensure equitable scale up of food security and livelihood activities in Kirehe and Burera Districts.
- Ensure orientation of department staff, including the reinforcement and promotion of Partners InHealth’smission and values.
- Develop regular program monitoring systems in collaboration with IMB monitoring and evaluation staff.
- Evaluate the relevance and appropriateness of current and future food security and livelihoods programming in the local context.
- Increase food security and livelihoods communication and collaboration with IMB social support and clinical programs.
- Prepare internal and external reports for IMBleadership and donors.
- Carry out staff recruitment and ongoing capacity building ; identify staff and stakeholder training needs and draft/revise Job Descriptions as needed.
- Refer staff issues (disciplinary, Code of Conduct, etc.) to HR in a correct and timely manner while keeping the COO copied.
- Ensure that staff responsibilities are clearly defined and understood, with performance objectives set against work plans and regularly monitored.
- Ensure timely annual performance appraisals with the support of the HR department
Qualifications Required
- Bachelors (A0) level degree in agronomy, veterinary sciences, rural development, agricultural economics, or international development is required
- At least three years of experience in relief and rehabilitation programs in a developing country, with a focus on food security and income generating opportunities, is required
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda is required. Professional proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in French is desired
- At least three years of experience in financial planning and managing budgets
- Proven ability to manage a program and build capacity, including management of human and material resources.
- Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet
- Ability to take initiative to deal with challenges and capitalize on past experience and information available within the organization in order to become self-sufficient and autonomous quickly.
- Ability to live, work, and frequently travel in the rural areas served by IMB.
- Ability to integrate into the local environment including awareness of political and economic aspects of the country.
- Energy and stamina to withstand long working hours and often stressful conditions
Position : Economic Research Data Officer (1)

The Data Officer is responsible for supporting IMB costing study taking place in Southern Kayonza and Kirehe Districts. The Data Officer reports to the Economic Research Coordinator under the supervision of the Research Manager. The responsibilities of the Data Officer are as follows :
- Conduct data collection activities including health expenditure surveys, data quality assessments, auditing of health facility records and registers, and other data collection activities as directed ;
- Enter data for the costing study timely fashion ;
- Respond to questions regarding data quality and modify data as directed ;
- Provide feedback on questionnaires, surveys, and other data collection instruments ;
- Assist Economic Research Coordinator in translating necessary study documents (such as survey instruments, reports, and training materials ;
- Assist Economic Research Coordinator in maintaining costing study database, and tracking missing data ;
- Participate in research trainings as requested by senior study staff ;
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Completed secondary school education ;
- Strong interest in research, economics, or accounting ;
- Previous experience with data use and/or entry ;
- Previous experience with Excel ;
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required ;

Purpose of the position : Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of clients to and from various destinations and to assist clients on entry and exit from vehicles as necessary.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- The driver is responsible for the transportation of PIH official assigned to him/her safely to their destination.
- Drive the vehicle in a manner that is safe, reliable and efficient
- Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
- Maintain logbook and all necessary information on a daily basis
- Keep the vehicle clean and tidy at all times
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance of the vehicle on a routine basis
- Report to the immediate supervisor of any vehicle faults and necessary repairs
- Carry out any other task assigned by the supervisors
Requirements and qualifications :
- A2 certificate
- Possession of a valid driving permit category B and D
- Experience of at least 3 to 5 years driving in NGO or government Institutions
- Knowledge of English or French required, knowledge of both languages preferred
- Be be between 30 to 40 years old
- To have a basic vehicle mechanics skills
- A person with Integrity.
