The Embassy of the United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for the position of Warehouse Supervisor.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Incumbent is responsible for the direction of the embassy supply program. He manages the inventory; receipt, storage and issuance of non-expendable property in all US Government owned and leased offices, residences, warehouse and stockrooms. Incumbent supervises 7 employees directly and 10 employees indirectly; and advises the GSO and Assistant GSO in all aspects of the Mission Program.

QUALIFICATIONS
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent technical school is required
- Three years experience in administrative management, property supply, warehousing, or logistics management, including one year supervisory experience required.
- Level IV English, level IV Kinyarwanda, and Level III French required
- Must develop strong working knowledge and implementation of safety and occupational health matters associated with a warehouse operation. Must be familiar with safety equipment function and use, including fire extinguishers, safety lines, and protective clothing.
- Driver’s license is required. Must be familiar with defensive driving theory and defensive driving skills. Must have forklift operator’s license if required by local law. Basic math skills are required for appropriate conversion of weights and measures and calculation of truck load capacity. Must have familiarity with automated systems applications such as word-processing, internet, and email applications. Must be able to develop strong working knowledge of USG automated systems such as ILMS and WEBPASS.
SELECTION PROCESS
When equally qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (AEFMs) and U.S. Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that in the application the candidate fully address the required qualifications above.
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Currently employed US Citizens EFMs who hold a FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
4. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the 90 calendar days of their employment, unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
